Graves, Bordeaux, FranceA blend of 57% sémillon, 30% sauvignon blanc, and 13% sauvignon gris, this is a crisp dry white from the heart of Sauternes, a place famed for its sweet wines. From sandy gravelled soils, and vines averaging 20 years, this was fermented and aged in a mix of stainless (70%) and neutral barrel, for 6 months. Shining tangerine, white grapefruit, lemon thistle, is veined with an alluring crushed stony texture, and lingering with citrus pithiness.
