Rioja, SpainThis nose is well developed, with notes of cedar and vanilla, and a scent of red fruits threading through the mid-palate. The flavours are dry, with leather, cherry, dried florals, and balsamic notes. The finish is medium long, with rich but mostly silky tannins. Drink or hold. The tempranillo grapes come from 40 year old estate vineyards in Rodezno and Labasida, rooted in calcareous clays at 500-600m above sea level.
