Elena Walch Chardonnay 2024
Salento, Puglia, ItalyElena Walch is a fifth generation family estate in Alto Adige, in North East Italy. They have 90 hectares of vineyards, and are a benchmark producer of the region. This classic Chardonnay comes from limestone soils at 600m, and was fermented cool in stainless, where it reminded with lees for a few months prior to bottling. Lemon curd, thistle, and green apple flood this stony white before it narrows on the finish, leaving humming lingering stony spice.
