Modena, Emilia-Romagna, ItalyThe family-owned Cleto Chiarli company is a pioneer in Lambrusco, making wine here for more than 150 years. Today, the family owns more than 250 acres of vineyards across the province of Modena and sells about 2 million cases of Lambrusco annually. Despite this volume of production, the quality and attention to detail are impressive. The Cleto sparkling brut is made using the Charmat method and is an 85/15 blend of lambrusco grasparossa and pinot noir. It is a fresh, lively sparkler with strawberry, raspberry, and red currant, along with creamy textures and refined, persistent bubbles.
