Rhone Valley, FranceThe deep freeze inspired CedarCreek to look offshore to the Rhône for inspiration and juice, and they hit a home run with this syrah. It is a super fresh style, very juicy and approachable for syrah. There is an appealing ripeness here, but in a southern Rhône garrigue style, where the plump berry fruit is tempered by a savoury undercurrent. Soft, dense, delicious. We love the price, too.Tasted: 02 August 2026Tasted by: Prices:

Rhone Valley, FranceI first tasted this blind at the National Wine Awards of Canada and was equally impressed when I retasted it. The fruit was sourced from the Rhône Valley, and it feels like it exudes the ripeness of the south. Ripe, plump brambly fruit is layered with garrigue, candied violet, and game, giving this a real aromatic lift. Medium-full bodied, it's rich, dense, and structured, suggesting this is a sneaky cellar candidate to revisit after 3-5 years. Straight up delicious syrah.Tasted: 26 June 2026Tasted by: Prices:
