Ammura Etna Bianco 2022
Etna, Sicily, ItalyAmmura is the Tommasi Family Estates' Sicily project, focused on the sacred slopes of Europe's most active volcano, Etna. This Bianco is entirely carricante from high elevation (650m) vineyards on the northeast face, with vine age averaging 20 years. The destemmed fruit was fermented in stainless with full MLF, where it rested for 1 year with monthly bâtonnage, followed by 1 more year in bottle prior to release. Shining bright yellow, this streams orange blossoms, lemon thistle, chamomile, green apple, and subtle anise along the lees-plumped palate, with a gentle grip afforded from the grape's inherently thick skins, and a palate buzz from the volcanic soils. A saline freshness from the altitude and marine breezes lingers on the smoky finish. One to drink liberally with the summer sunshine. 12,000 bottles produced.Tasted: 19 June 2026Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:| BC | $45.00 | 750ml | private wine stores |
