Rebil Chardonnay 2023
Cawston, Similkameen Valley, British Columbia, CanadaLiber's Rebil label, Liber spelled backwards, is a much fuller, more ambitious Similkameen Chardonnay aged in French oak for a year. Early editions leaned towards California, but the latest label is looking more Euro, with less obvious oak and greater complexity and texture. This is a solid '23. The Rebil fruit is grown on the west-facing banks of the Similkameen River over a stony, sandy debris field that sits just below Highway 3, west of Mt. Kobau, and only four kilometres from the Nighthawk–Chopaka U.S. border crossing.
