Lunessence Small Lot Series Vin Gris 2025

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis small lot, tasting room, club focused release is a delight to sip, although, in some ways, I'm sure it's misunderstood given its market position: above entry level rosé, and a textural, borderline white/rosé hybrid. The colour is Provençal pale pink, and the nose ripe strawberry. The palate seems sweeter than its 5.2 grams of residual sugar would suggest, perhaps heightened by moderate acidity. It is made from Gamay that is pressed and gets zero skin contact. It is fermented wild and lightly seasoned by a short élevage in neutral oak. Expect soft, ripe strawberry and cherry that coat the palate with a touch of glycerol. Fresh, rich, and easy to sip, it is ready to take on the likes of spicy sausage, spicy tuna rolls, or a summer watermelon, tomato, and feta salad.Tasted: 01 May 2026Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
