Lunessence Petit Verdot 2022

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaSummerland-based Lunessence has looked south to Osoyoos for this petit verdot, which is predictably big, rich, and red. It is grown organically and wild fermented, then aged 15 months in neutral oak. The nose is highly aromatic, with a whack of savoury desert scrub. The palate is concentrated and structured, with dense yet ripe tannins throughout, layered with savoury dark wild fruit and spice. It is a serious red that will reward several years in the cellar. Braised short ribs or lamb shanks are the current best match, or hard aged cheeses. Well made.Tasted: 01 May 2026Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
