Yarra Valley, Victoria, AustraliaLuke Lambert's top chardonnay, this rings with cool climate Yarra minerality. From the same vineyard as his Syrah, these 25+ year old vines grow on a layer of volcanic soils over granite studded yellow clays, on a higher altitude, windy site. After a native ferment and ample oxidative handling, this was aged 9 months in older puncheons, and bottled without fining or filtration. Meyer lemon, Anjou pear, fresh green apple, and crystalline lemon is shaped by flint, and dotted with flake salts which linger long on the finish.
