Culmina Family Estate Unicus Grüner Veltliner 2025

Golden Mile Bench, Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaCulmina fans will know they make a high quality Grüner Veltliner, but it mostly flies under the radar. At just under 600 metres above sea level, Margaret's Bench appears to be perfectly suited to growing Grüner, and under Winemaker Schaller, that style is blossoming. The 2025 is a little less ripe, a little more Grüner, with a mix of white grapefruit, spicy pear, and hints of lychee and guava. It is fermented in concrete egg, amphora, and neutral oak to let the site shine through. A textured wine for West Coast seafood that is hard to resist.
