Domaine de la Sarazinière Mâcon-Bussières Claude Seigneuret Vieilles Vignes 2024
Mâconnais, Burgundy, FranceCreated by Claude Seigneuret in 1926, the Domaine de la Sarazinière estate name derives from the small lieu-dit surrounding the original family home in the village of Bussières. Today, it is run by father-son Phillippe and Guillaume Trebignaud, with organic/biodynamic farming and classic Burgundian low-intervention winemaking. This label is named for the founder and comes from four very old parcels planted 1926-1940 on calcareous, rocky, south facing soils. The wine is vinified and aged for 11 months in French oak barrels, 10% of which are new. The nose is an appealing mix of baked apple, pear, and toasted hazelnuts, with light toast and spice that spread across the palate, pulling you into the wine. Real Bourgogne at an affordable price. Another vote for Mâcon from this corner.Tasted: 16 April 2026Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:| BC | $50.00 | 750ml | select private retailers |
