Domaine de la Foliette Goulaine Muscadet Sèvre et Maine 2017

Muscadet, Pays Nantais, Loire, FranceGoulaine is a more serious Muscadet, pushing it from a simple oyster wine into a textured, terroir driven, gastronomic white. The nose is a mix of lemon, green apple, and orchard fruit streaked with wet stone. The texture is a light, leesy, creamy affair that supports a skinny, lemon, saline palate that finishes long and dry with fine chalky minerality. It's not for everyone, but if you love shellfish, or even halibut in a fruit sauce, this is a wine for you. It is situated in the heart of the Sèvre et Maine territory, with the Communale Goulaine on the slopes above the Goulaine marsh. It is Melon de Bourgogne, fermented and aged on its fine lees for 36 months.Tasted: 25 April 2026Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
