ItalyThe Bottega 0 Rosé is one of the best non-alcoholic drinks I have tasted in this market, possibly because Sandro Bottega has the people, the money, and the desire to do things properly, which in this case meant working with fresh grape must rather than dealcoholized wine. The pale pink colour is an obvious attraction, along with a soft strawberry, red apple, citrus peel, and floral nose. The palate is medium-sweet and gently frizzante, leaving a clean, easy to sip sparkling rosé to be enjoyed well chilled. It is the balance over depth that makes this a polished, sparkling grape drink that succeeds in freshness and mood, suited to almost any occasion where you would like to serve a drink that looks, smells, and presents itself like a sparkling wine, leaving its imbibers completely included in the occasion. Oh, and did we mention the price, $12.99?
