Cowichan Valley, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, CanadaBlue Grouse continues its steadfast march into the future, now backed and buoyed by Jackson Family Wines. The refreshed label reflects the fresher, more modern styling. This Cowichan Valley chardonnay blends estate fruit with nearby Enrico Vineyards. It was fermented in French barrels and puncheons (13% new), with full MLF before 10 months on lees. Bright green apple, lemon is scented with subtle toasted oak and slicked with a fine layer of lees. Bright coastal salinity is woven throughout, keeping this on the skinnier side and Wine Islands true.Tasted: 24 May 2026Tasted by: Prices:

Cowichan Valley, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, CanadaAt Blue Grouse, the 2024 Chardonnay is entirely from the Cowichan Valley, blending fruit from Enrico Vineyards and the BG estate. It was fermented in new and used French oak barrels and puncheons, then spent 10 months on lees with full MLF, and 13% new French oak. The year was mostly cool, and the wine reflects that with a juicy, racy, vibrant palate. The intensity is medium, with a flavour palate of lemon, slate, and minerality, and a watery finish, in a good way. A perfect wine for seafood sushi rolls.Tasted: 24 April 2026Tasted by: Prices:
