Bachelder Lil Kirby Gamay Noir 52% Whole Cluster 2024
Four Mile Creek, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, CanadaL’il Kirby is made in tiny quantities from the eastern side of the Kirby Vineyard, just at the entrance to the Old Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake. At 52% whole cluster, it opens with a more iron, reductive character and, to us, a more complex nose than the Kirby, yet it remains very much in a wild style.
