Four Mile Creek, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, CanadaThis wine opens with some funk, perhaps reduction or simply a smoky, stemmy character. At 45% whole cluster, the fruit seems suppressed, giving it a green, mulchy character. The palate is broad and, at this point, unfocused. Chunky and short, Bachelder says this wine will gain complexity and nuance with age.
