Rioja Alavesa, Rioja, SpainVillota is a fourth generation family owned winery, established almost 100 years ago in Rioja Alavesa. They co-founded and supplied grapes to Contino, Rioja's first single estate winery with CVNE, before they decided to focus on their own name and brand in 2013. Pouring a deeper pink hue, this structural rosado reminds of a clarete, with morello cherry, pomegranate, wildflowers, and crushed blossoms, with a lifted juicy core, and pink peppercorn dusting on the saline finish. Quite intriguing, and vibrant acidity for a fuller bodied (14%) rosado.
