What you may not know is that the freshness and cool Kiwi climate are the perfect buffers for chardonnay that ripens with a full stone fruit profile, and in this case, lined with oak. I found it all to be in balance, and for chardonnay lovers, this is a bargain. From lemon zest and ripe pear to vanilla, a touch of honey, and saline minerality. Crab cakes, anyone?
