Gassier Embruns de Viognier 2023
Le Gard, Vin de Pays d'Oc, Languedoc, Sud de France, FranceExpect a refined, southern French Viognier that starts with a surprisingly fresh outlook reflecting the Gassier family style, and organic vineyards overlooking the marshes of Camargue, cooled by Mediterranean breezes. Michel Gassier states that the “terroir of Rhône pebbles, atop veins of ancient seabed chalk gives unique vibrance and minerality to our wines.” Look for bright tangerine, apricot, and stone fruit on the nose, balanced on the palate by saline, chalky notes that keep the finish lively. Lees contact adds texture without heaviness. The farming is certified organic and uses regenerative practices. I'm a fan of this fresh style of Viognier.Tasted: 28 March 2026Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:| BC | $25.00 | 750ml | estimated retail price |
