Southern Rhone, Rhone Valley, FranceThis 80/20 grenache/syrah Rouge Clair is a different wine for a different crowd. It is super fresh in the glass, with bright red raspberry and low tannins. It looks like a rosé but is more than that, yet less complex than a typical Chapoutier Rhône red. Open it and drink it all summer, well chilled, or serve it over ice. It was designed for it. The words "& Frais" appear when the bottle is cooled below ~12°C, signalling the ideal serving temperature. Finally, environmental responsibility is shown by replacing the traditional capsule with a bandule, a strip seal. The stopper is made from sugar cane, to reduce its carbon impact.
