Loire, FranceThe Chainier family has roots in the Bordeaux wine trade since the 1740s, slowing moving northeast to the Loire Valley, where they now are based, with 625 acres of vineyards and the 5th generation at the helm. Les Calcaires comes primarily from their vineyards around Touraine. Herbal and crisp, led by lemon and white grapefruit, with verbena, tangerine, and river stones filling out the rest of this medium bodied white, finishing with a lemon twist.
