Modesta Estate Pinot Noir 2022
Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaModesta's 2022 Pinot Noir Estate is a small batch pinot from the Naramata Bench. Having just tasted the '21 Rama Vineyard Pinot, I found the 2022, made with Modesta Vineyard fruit and aged for a year in neutral oak barrels, in keeping with Modesta's low-intervention ethos. It opens with a light ruby hue. The palate is noticeably drier and spicier, with more forest floor and less strawberry and cherry.
