Laberinto Trumao Norte 2020

Colbún, Valle del Maule, Region del Valle Central, ChileTrumao has received much acclaim from the top international wine critics. The praise begins with the 30 year old vines that sit at 550–600 metres above sea level in Colbún, Maule Valley, up against the foothills of the Andes. The deep, volcanic ash of Mapuche origin is rich in organic matter and marked by a mineral, graphite character. The flagship red is 65-75% cabernet franc, 25-30% merlot, and a dollop of cabernet sauvignon. The nose is a savoury mix of ash, leaf, and forest floor. The palate is firm and vertical, with red and black cherry, some chalky, almost silky tannins, and bright acidity. This is a serious red wine that you can cellar for a minimum of seven years, and it's one of Chile's modern icons.Tasted: 13 February 2026Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
