La Massa Toscana Rosso 2021
Tuscany, ItalyLa Massa has all the makings of a serious sangiovese-led Super Tuscan red grown at Panzano in Chianti. Richness, finesse, power, and intensity, it opens with obvious balance, a good sign. From there, red fruit takes over, with brown spice lingering at the back end. The texture is soft and round, and while layered, it is light on its feet despite a luscious character that keeps pulling you back to the glass.
