Hillside UnOaked Chardonnay 2025
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis Naramata Bench chardonnay is wild fermented and unoaked, allowing it to lean into its orchard fruit and citrus origins rather than the gloss of oak and lees. In fact, it is super fresh, with florals alongside green apples, a touch of stone fruit, and plenty of grapefruit, with a mineral, saline finish. It finishes bright with plenty of bracing acidity and lime rind. It is a chardonnay in name but more of a sauvignon blanc in style. No matter, it is well made and would be a perfect wine for oysters or your favourite sushi rolls.
