Lake Chelan, Columbia Valley, Washington, United StatesThis Okanagan winery is the vision of Shay and Harlee Code, farmers and owners of this organic 5 acre Okanagan Falls east bench estate. They began planting in 2017 with chardonnay and syrah. This 2024 pinot noir is part of their CIBC Grower Series, with fruit sourced from Washington State's Lake Chelan AVA. From clones 115, 777, 113, and UCD13, this was destemmed and inoculated before an extended maceration and pressing into French barrels (20% new) for 10 months rest. It was bottled unfined the following August. Fragrant plum, perfumed strawberry, cherry blossoms floods the juicy palate, with long, fine knit tannins pinning in the sides to the baking spiced finish.
