The fruit comes from loamy alluvial soils with dense surface gravel at Angelica Sur Vineyard, San Carlos, Uco Valley. Typically, the altitude is 1100 metres. The wine itself is a delicious, textural, fragrant dark fruit and spicy 90/10 blend of cabernet sauvignon/cabernet franc, fermented in concrete eggs, small stainless steel tanks, and French oak roll fermentors, before ageing in first, second, and third use barrels for 18-24 months.
