Okanagan Falls, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaBlock 23, or River Flow, is a cool, north-facing, easterly sloping section of vineyard planted with Dijon clones 113 and 114. It is own-rooted, and the vines are now 29 years old. The style is fresher, spicier, and also cooler than the other BM pinots. The nose is cleaner this year, with black cherries leading, while the palate is lively with ripe cherry, raspberry, and wild strawberry, dusted with sweet spice. The texture is charming, and the finish is soft, graceful, and tannin-free.
