Okanagan Falls, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaIn 2023, the Gravel Force Block 14, named Gravel Force for the numerous small, round stones mixed into light clay over an old, dry river bed, opens with red fruit aromas led by cranberries and pomegranate. More red cherries blend with a fresh linear style that somewhat belies its west-south facing site, which gets full sun. The palate is cool toned and midweight, with minimal oak, allowing its long saline, chalky finish to flourish. Like last year, the tannins are polished and silky, making it a pleasure to sip.
