Columbia Valley, Washington, United StatesWinemaker Grant Stanley took the deep freeze damage as a challenge: one to keep the business running; and two to venture south to the Pacific Northwest and find vineyards he could work with to produce top quality replacement wines while they replant the home site. This restrained, cool toned, Rhône-like Syrah comes from Inland Vineyard in Washington State. The nose offers red fruit, meat, and floral undertones. On the palate, cracked pepper and more fresh black fruit lead to a savoury, supple finish.
