Paul Mas Réserve Malbec 2023
Coteaux du Languedoc, Languedoc, Sud de France, FranceFrom the Gardemiel Vineyard in the foothills of the Pyrenees, rooted in limestone, chalk and gravel soils, comes this malbec off 19-26 year old vines. After destemming, this fermented warm in vats over 10 days, with 30% transferred to oak barrels for 4 months aging. Juicy purple fruit leaps from the glass, with boysenberry, blueberry, and peppery spice in the lead. Tannins are smoothed, and a bit tacky, leading to a brief, lightly clove spiced finish. Simple mid-week red for burgers or shepherd's pie.Tasted: 19 January 2026Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:| BC | $16.99 | 750ml | BCLS |
