Passato Roero Arneis 2023

Langhe, Cuneo, Piedmont, ItalyPassato comes from Roero, Piemonte, and is made from Arneis. It’s the white wine of summer across Piedmont, and for good reason. Its pale straw colour previews a refreshing nose of green apple and melon, with a quiet almond undercurrent. Post-fermentation, it spends six months on lees to help broaden the mid-palate, revealing green apples and ripe pear that spread above a mineral, stony, slightly bitter citrus base. The finish is medium-long and reminiscent of a blend of guava and almonds. This is a delicious white wine to while away the hours on the patio, served with an array of West Coast seafood dishes, or an Italian classic, spaghetti with garlic and olive oil (Aglio e olio).Tasted: 26 January 2026Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
