Lafazanis Nemea Agiorgitiko 2019
Nemea, Peloponnese, GreeceOne of the major players in Greek wine, Lafazanis winery started over 70 years ago, though in 1993 Spyros Lafazanis moved the family winery from Magoula, Attica to Nemea. From this Peloponnese region, this agiorgitiko was rooted in calcareous clays between 250-400m. After 8 days of skin contact over fermentation, this rested 12 months in oak. Dusky black cherry, sun-dried tomatoes, fresh green herbs is scented with dusty gravels, and framed with sticky tannins, finishing with a peppery bite. Drinking now, 7 years along, this is one to reach for with grilled / roasted lamb and root veg.Tasted: 12 January 2026Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:| BC | $34.00 | 750ml | private wine stores |
