Osoyoos, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe 2022 spring was cooler than the 20 year average, and bud break occurred a week later than usual. The weather finally warmed up in August and stayed warm through harvest in October. The reds display elegant, soft tannins. These grapes come from the Nk'Mip and Driver vineyards, located next to the winery and not far from the US border, as the crow flies. The nose offers a blood and meat profile, with hints of spice, violets, and sagebrush underneath. The attack is fresh, with a plush entry and plenty of fine grained tannins that add texture, and it's rich in ripe blue and black fruits, with a dash of soya.
