Los Cerros de San Juan La Husen Albarino Single Vineyard 2024
Southern Riverside, UruguayAlbariño originally hails from Galicia's Rías Baixas region. It has always been a vibrant white, and it turns out it is thriving in Uruguay, where it is now the leading local white wine in the country's western region. The colour is pale, pale yellow with hints of green. The nose is awash in lemons and green apples, with streaks of pear. The palate is equally exciting, with guava, white peach, and lime, and more freshness in the tart finish. It is the perfect sushi wine, or serve it with West Coast shellfish. The wine is not listed yet, but it will be poured at the Vancouver International Wine Festival and will be available in the on-site store.
