Still, the fruit and fragrance have given way to a savoury, earthy openness reminiscent of the earlier years of BC Meritage blends. The attack is peppery with balsamic hints and red fruit. The wine's texture stands out as its most appealing feature, providing a soft, smooth experience that leads into a warm, leathery finish. The blend closely aligns with last year's proportions: 49% merlot, 31% cabernet sauvignon, 11% cabernet franc, 6% malbec, and 3% petit verdot.
