Rising prices in Bourgogne have renewed interest in places like Mâcon-Villages, which have made significant improvements in both winegrowing and winemaking. When you taste this wine, it offers a lesson in sophistication that honours the origin and the Chardonnay grape. With little or no fanfare, it leaps from the glass with pear and citrus, and a palate of juicy pear butter and bright acidity, all ending with a light, toasty nut finish. It's pure enjoyment to drink if you appreciate your chardonnay refined and subtle.
