Lillooet, British Columbia, CanadaThis Lillooet pinot gris was destemmed, crushed and left on skins 4 hours, with dry ice removing oxygen exposure, and cold settling / cool ferment to set the desired aromatics. It remained 4 months on lees in stainless prior to bottling. Crisp and sleek, with pink grapefruit, lime blossom, pithy tangerine, and crunchy pear sailing along the slender frame, finishing with a dusting of stony spice. A restrained, cooler style, ready for racking into now with calamari.Tasted: 24 May 2026Tasted by: Prices:
Lillooet, British Columbia, CanadaJust when hope dims for a wine that exceeds expectations for its price, this Fort Berens Small Lot Pinot Gris begins with a burst of electricity and freshness that evokes Friuli and Vancouver Island. The bright acidity and mineral, stony notes are revitalizing, and immediately suggest a shellfish pairing. Pears, quince, melon, and even some passion fruit enrich the texture without making the wine feel heavy. Best of all, it's entirely Lillooet fruit from the estate Dry Creek Vineyard and Winch Spur Vineyard in Lytton. This is special.Tasted: 03 December 2025Tasted by: Prices:
