Famille Perrin Rasteau L'Andéol 2022

Rasteau, Côtes du Rhône Villages, Southern Rhone, Rhone Valley, FranceThe Perrin family farm 2 hectares in Rasteau, on south facing slopes mostly protected from the fierce Mistral winds, on ancient stony terraces of sandy marls and clay. Primarily grenache (with a tip of syrah), this was partially fermented whole cluster, with 90% of the wine seeing stainless aging and the remainder in foudres over 1 year. Wild black raspberry, black cherry, violet florals is seasoned with scrubby garrigue and ample cracked pepper, and framed with supple, yet structural tannins, trailing off with dark cocoa. Drinking smartly now, and for a great price as well.Tasted: 29 December 2025Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
