Blue Mountain Blanc de Blancs R.D. Méthode Traditionelle 2016

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Blanc de Blancs continues to be the standout from Blue Mountain, unquestionably one of Canada's top sparkling producers. There was a three-year pause (the last vintage of Blanc de Blancs was 2013) which speaks to how seriously they take this wine, or any of their wines, for that matter. It was more than worth the wait. This is steely, citrusy, and mineral, with the kind of tension and precision that feels like you can only get in great blanc de blancs. It's all framed by ample toasty autolytic notes, after an impressive 7.5 years on lees that has softened the creamy, elegant mousse. It's a showstopper, and somehow only $44 direct from the winery. It makes you question why you'd buy Champagne this holiday.Tasted: 08 December 2025Tasted by: Geoffrey Moss MWPrices:
