Blue Mountain Blanc de Blancs R.D. Méthode Traditionelle 2016

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Blue Mountain Blanc de Blancs RD continues its stellar reputation as one of Canada's top sparkling wines. The last release was in 2013, so it's exciting to finally get a look at the latest one, the 2016 vintage, which is my favourite overall in British Columbia. It was recently disgorged in July 2024, and it's absolutely singing in the bottle. It has an electric, mineral, citrus aroma and attack, complemented by a sense of purity and tension that spells balance. Its autolytic, creamy textures reflect 7.5 years on lees, yet it remains fresh as ever, with a nutty, saline finish. Among the best we've tasted from this label, which sells for an attractive 'start the car' price of $44 at the winery.Tasted: 03 December 2025Tasted by: Prices:
