Wending Home Wending North 2020

Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, CanadaWending Home is a new Niagara family winery owned by Ying Feng and her husband, partnered with veteran Niagara winemaker and educator Ron Giesbrecht. Wending refers to the slow route to home, with added meaning in Cantonese (Wēn 问, Dīng 鼎) as illustrated by their traditional stamp. This aromatic estate white blends ehrenfelser, auxerrois, pinot gris, riesling, gewürztraminer, and chardonnay, all the white grapes on their Creek Shores home. Each was fermented separately in stainless, and blended with lees, where it remained until the following May and bottling. Surprisingly complete, with lemon blossom, pear drop, tangerine along the sleek palate, layered and lingering with river stones and fine citrus pith. A smart wine, and well representative of their estate.Tasted: 06 November 2025Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
