Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe latest Vasanti Cab comes off a mix of cool west benches and warm east benches in the south Okanagan. This is a clean cabernet fermented in stainless steel and aged for 30 days in a mix of French and European oak. The palate is fresh and spicy, with a strong, cassis undertone and spice in the finish. For the moment, it needs some time or a grilled piece of protein to knock down some of the edges on this youthful red. It's a solid vintage, and the wine should age into the early 2030s.
