Therianthropy Odi X 2024
Therianthropy is the mythical process of shapeshifting, which is another way to view turning nature into wine. This small collaborative project launched in late 2019, with an aim to work with interesting sites, and organic fruit when possible (2024 was entirely organic).From Lincoln Lakeshore's organic Laundry Vineyard, Odi X is a curious native cofermented melange of 70% Merlot and 30% Chardonnay Musqué, including 40% whole cluster, in concrete egg for 9 months, undisturbed. Pouring a slightly hazy raspberry hue, with boysenberry, plum, crushed raspberries on a juicy core with a subtle floral lift. Firm, fine, sticky tannins hold all in place to the pretty florals lining the finish.
