Tenuta Boccarossa Sciara 1911 Etna Bianco 2022
Etna, Sicily, ItalyThe Calabretta family's project, this single vineyard carricante is planted at 650m, on an old lava bed from a volcano that erupted in 1911 (hence the name). It is located on the north slope of Etna, in the Pontalli Plain contrast. This was whole bunch pressed, fermented cool, and rested in stainless, on lees. Crystalline lemon, pear skin, green apple, and crushed stones streak across the sleek palate, with ample stony salinity to texture, and linger on the finish. This is not about fruit at all, and certainly a singular wine of place.Tasted: 07 November 2025Tasted by: Treve RingPrices: Producer: Tenuta BoccaRossaGrape: Carricante
