Marco Felluga Mongris Collio Pinot Grigio 2023

Friuli-Venezia Giulia, ItalyThe name Mongris is derived from combining two words: monovitigno, a single variety, and gris, which means gray in Friulian. It is a grape that has been cultivated in the Collio region since the mid-1800s, and reaches extraordinary heights in the Collio DOC villages of Farra d'Isonzo, San Floriano, and Cormòns. The hilly terrain consists of layers of sandstone, limestone, and clay that once formed the ocean floor. Fermentation takes place in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks, where the finished wine rests on its lees for 6 months. In the glass, it has intense acacia flowers and freshly cut apples that manifests on its mineral, saline, stony palate. The finish is long, delicate, persistent, and elegant. A first class wine that rescues the reputation of pinot grigio for a moment.Tasted: 01 November 2025Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
