Kismet Cabernet Franc Reserve 2022
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaKismet begins with a fresh, herby aroma, muted violet florals, and red fruit, accented by a touch of black pepper. The palate is silky smooth with some, but not many, sticky tannins, which is entirely expected given how young the wine is. It offers rich blackberry, with more peppery notes on the finish. It was awarded a Platinum Medal at the 2025 National Wine Awards of Canada, and I can see why. The final touch of minerality brightens the finish and adds complexity.
