In some ways, it is a hangover from the heavily oaked wines of the past, signalling that this wine is different. Yet many oaked wines have the vivacity of this wine today. In fact, it is fresh and perky. The acidity is bright, and the fruit is pure. It's a lemony and floral affair, with just enough softness to appeal to oak lovers, too. The 2024 is a replacement wine for the deep-freeze year from Balcom & Moe Vineyard in Washington's Yakima Valley.
