Divergence Grimsby Hillside Vineyard Frontier Block Chardonnay 2023
Lincoln Lakeshore, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, CanadaJeff Moote is the founder and winemaker at Divergence Wines, a small winery sourcing grapes from great sites around Niagara. A familiar vineyard and block if you follow Bachelder wines, Jeff sourced vines nearing 20 years for this chardonnay, native fermented in French oak barrels and puncheons (28% new) over 17 months before being bottled unfiltered. This textural chardonnay rolls white peach, white blossoms, green apple, flax, and wood spice along the medium+ palate, plumped and expanded with lees, which lingers on the finish.
